Terms of Service
Last updated: March 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aura, an AI team assistant for Slack, operated by AuraHQ ("we", "us", "our").
By installing Aura in your Slack workspace, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Aura is an AI assistant that integrates with your Slack workspace. It can read messages you send it, take actions on your behalf (sending messages, querying data, managing calendars), and run scheduled autonomous jobs you configure.
Aura uses large language models (LLMs) — specifically Anthropic Claude — to generate responses. Like all LLM-based systems, responses may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing Aura's outputs before acting on them in consequential situations.
2. Acceptable Use
You may not use Aura to:
- Generate spam, phishing content, or deceptive materials
- Violate Slack's Terms of Service or API policies
- Process protected health information (PHI) governed by HIPAA without a BAA
- Engage in illegal activities or harassment
- Attempt to extract training data or reverse-engineer underlying models
3. Data Ownership
You own your data. Messages, memories, and content generated in your workspace remain yours. We process them to operate the service; we do not claim ownership.
See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
4. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service is provided "as is." We will notify you of planned maintenance.
Anthropic, OpenAI, and other third-party services we depend on may have their own outages that affect Aura's functionality.
5. Payment and Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge if the service has not been substantially used. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuraHQ's total liability to you for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Termination
You may stop using Aura at any time by uninstalling it from Slack. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, we will delete your workspace data within 30 days (see Privacy Policy).
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Geneva, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will notify workspace admins via Slack message before material changes take effect. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
